The recent leak of the Amphibia finale has me think animation industry artists/creators should go on strike or something. There’s just too much injustice going on in the industry right now. Garbage like what happened today is why most creators avoid network tv. But leaks are only the tip of the iceberg. Leaks. International broadcasters. Bad scheduling. Crunch. Spoilers. Overlong hiatuses. Poor business choices. Higher ups clearly having no thoughts in their brains. Etc. We genuinely need another WGA strike like in 2007-2008. The animation industry is a dumpster fire for this sort of behavior and it needs to be treated with as much respect, even moreso than the live film industry. Animation is just as much a valid form of art and entertainment as anything else but the people in charge still don’t see it like that. It isn’t just about the leaks, but the mistreatment, the crunch time, every single way the studios mistreat and buttfuck their shows! Look at any cartoon creators tweets
